WHAT'S IN IT

Ingredients: botanical infusions of mint (Mentha spicata, leaves) and eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus, leaves) in artisanal olive oil, beeswax, this essential oil of peppermint (Mentha piperita).

All the botanical parts we use come from plants that grow on our land in an eco-conscious way.

Olive oil is rich in vitamin E and A, oleic acids and polyphenols, is anti-inflammatory, it helps fighting free radicals, protects the skin and makes it softer. The one we use is produced by us, see more information here.

Beeswax is rich in fatty acids and vitamin A, it nourishes the skin and helps to naturally maintain its elasticity. The one we use is ethically collected by beekeepers close to the Tagus Natural park in the region of Idanha-a-Nova.

BOTANICAL POWER

Mint leaves are rich in flavonoids and antioxidants like rosmarinic acid that help fight the damage caused by free radicals. Its main bioactive compound is menthol, with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that can contribute to the overall health of damaged lips by reducing swelling, redness and irritation. More than a cooling agent, menthol helps to lightly stimulate the surface of the skin and thus increases blood flow to the area, which can help dry and cracked lips to heal faster. Its moisturizing and soothing attributes at the same time provide a protective barrier during for example the prolonged exposure to the sun or wind.

Eucalyptus botanical extracts are well known for their antiviral, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that can soothe dry and irritated skin. They are also highly moisturizing and repairing. Rich in eucalyptol, they have a sweet and fresh aroma similar to camphor and a refreshing effect.

Peppermint essential oil soothes inflammation and promotes wound healing. It has a refreshing aroma, is antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.

SUGGESTION OF USE

Apply liberally as often as needed.

This balm has been specially developed to help protect lips with damaged skin or for those who practice outdoor activities, but it can also be used simply to keep the lips soft and nourished.

To preserve its natural durability, it should be kept in a cool and dry place away from sunlight or other heat sources and applied with clean and dry hands.
